Is there a LinkedIn job search MCP server?

There's no official LinkedIn job search MCP server for job seekers as of October 2026, and the unofficial ones work by logging into your own LinkedIn account. LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits bots and other automated methods of accessing the service, so using one puts your account at risk of being restricted.

If what you want is new jobs inside Claude or ChatGPT, there's a simpler path. Find your role first gives your agent jobs straight from company career sites, with no LinkedIn login involved.

How do unofficial LinkedIn MCP servers work?

They drive a browser session that's signed in as you. You hand over your login or session cookie, and the server clicks through LinkedIn on your behalf to search jobs, read profiles or send messages.

That's the problem. To LinkedIn, it looks like your account is being run by a script, because it is. The User Agreement asks members not to use bots, scripts or other automated tools to access the services or copy data from them. Accounts that do can get restricted, and the account at risk is the one you're job hunting with.

Can I get banned for using a LinkedIn MCP?

It's possible. LinkedIn can restrict accounts that break its User Agreement, and automated access is on the list of things it prohibits. There's no safe volume. A tool that runs quietly for weeks can still trip a check.

The cost is lopsided. You'd risk your network, your messages and your recruiter conversations to save a few minutes of searching.

What does LinkedIn offer officially?

LinkedIn job alerts are free. Premium Career is paid, and the price sits behind a login, as of October 2026. Neither one connects to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as an MCP server.

LinkedIn also sits one step after the source. Companies post on their own careers sites first. A board that collects those roles later can't be faster than the company page it copies from.

The alternative: jobs from company career sites

Find your role first is a job feed for AI agents. It reads 15,000+ company career sites every hour or two, across Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workday boards plus Amazon, Apple, Google, Meta, Microsoft and Netflix.

The speed number comes from our job freshness study: where the company publishes an exact posting time, the median role was in our feed 16 minutes later. 79% arrived within 1 hour.

For $9 a month you get 3,000 new roles a month, up to 1,000 a day, in Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex or any MCP client. It's the cheapest paid job feed with AI agent access we've found. Each result has the title, company, location, posting date, discovery date, the original posting link and the apply link. Your agent opens the posting for the details.

How do I connect it to Claude or ChatGPT?

In the Claude app, go to Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, and paste the address from /connect. Claude Code and Codex take one command each, and ChatGPT works in developer mode. The Claude job search guide and the ChatGPT job search guide walk through it.

No login needed to look around first. Browse new jobs from the last 24 hours or any company page for free.

Can I still use LinkedIn?

Of course. Use it the normal way, by hand: your network, referrals, recruiter messages. Use your agent for the part that's repetitive, which is checking for new roles. If you like LinkedIn's past 24 hours filter, read what the LinkedIn past 24 hours trick misses.
