How do I find jobs with Claude?

To find jobs with Claude, connect a live job feed as a custom connector, then ask in plain English. In the Claude app, open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, and paste https://findyourrolefirst.click/mcp. After you click Allow on our page, Claude can search open roles from more than 15,000 company careers sites and open the original postings for you.

Without a connector, Claude can still search the web, and you'll get job board pages, some of them old. This guide is for the Claude app. For the terminal, see finding jobs with Claude Code.

Setting it up

1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors.
2. Click Add custom connector, paste https://findyourrolefirst.click/mcp and click Add.
3. Click Connect, sign in, then click Allow on our page.
4. Ask Claude for new roles to check it works.

There's no key to copy. Claude gets its own key when you click Allow, and you can remove the connector in Claude at any time. Agent access is part of the $9 a month plan.

Prompts that work

• "Find senior backend engineer roles in Berlin posted since yesterday. Show company, title and link."
• "Which of these roles are at companies likely to sponsor an H-1B? Check each company's page."
• "Here's my résumé. Search for roles I fit, posted this week, and rank the top five with one line on why."
• "Check for new PM roles at Stripe, Ramp and Notion since Monday."

Claude calls the search tool, reads the results and, for the roles you care about, opens the posting on the company's own site to read the full description.

What it can and can't do

The connector has four tools, all read only: search jobs, refresh one role (including whether it closed), list changes since your last check, and show your usage. It can't apply to jobs, write to any site or act for you.

Results don't include the full job description. Claude reads that from the original posting, only for the roles you pick, which keeps each search small.

Does this work on the Claude mobile app?

Connectors you add on the web show up in the mobile app on the same account.

Can I use it in Claude Code too?

Yes, with claude mcp add --transport http --scope user jobfeed https://findyourrolefirst.click/mcp, then authenticate from /mcp.

Is there a free way to try it?

The web console is free for 200 roles in your first 30 days, no card. Connecting Claude needs the $9 plan.
