Guide
How do I see new jobs before they show up on LinkedIn?
To see new jobs before they show up on LinkedIn, watch the companies' own career sites, because that's where every role is published first. LinkedIn gets its copy later, sometimes hours, sometimes days, and some roles never reach it. You can watch a short list of companies by hand, or use a feed that reads thousands of career sites at once, like Find your role first.
Why LinkedIn is late
A company publishes a role on its applicant tracking system, usually Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby or Workday. That's the career page you see on the company's site. LinkedIn and other boards pick the role up afterwards, through a feed, a paid slot or a recruiter reposting it by hand. Each step adds delay, and when a role is reposted the date resets, so "new" on LinkedIn can be old news.
Option 1: watch a few companies yourself
If you only care about ten or so companies, bookmark their career pages and check them each morning. Most career pages on Greenhouse and Lever even have a public listing you can open as plain data, which is handy if you write a little script.
It stops working past a dozen companies, and it misses every company you didn't think of.
Option 2: alerts on a company list
Tools such as JobAlert and JobRadar watch career pages for you and email or notify you when something new appears. They're good when you know exactly which companies you want.
Option 3: a feed of every new role
Find your role first reads more than 13,000 company career sites, including Workday boards and the career sites of Amazon, Apple, Google, Meta, Microsoft and Netflix, every two to six hours. It records the hour each role first appeared, so "new" means new. You can see today's roles by category on the live pages, search them all newest first (free for 200 roles in your first 30 days), or connect Claude Code or Codex and ask your agent what's new.
Questions
How much earlier are jobs on company sites than on LinkedIn?
It varies by company and by how the role reaches LinkedIn. Often it's hours, sometimes days, and some roles never get there. The company site is never later.
Is applying on the company site better than LinkedIn Easy Apply?
It usually lands in the same tracking system the recruiter uses, with your full application instead of a short profile. It's the version recruiters see first.
Which companies post only on their own sites?
Many smaller startups and some large employers, especially for specialised roles. You won't know which ones until you watch their sites.
