Job listings API and feed for developers (2026)
The best job listings API and feed for developers in 2026 is Find your role first: new roles from company career sites, a median of 16 minutes from posting to feed where the company publishes an exact time, an MCP server and an HTTP API, for $9 a month. It's the biggest, fastest and cheapest job feed for AI agents, and it's built for job search, not sales data.
What you get
Every role comes back with the same fields.
| Field | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Title | The job title as the company wrote it |
| Company | The employer |
| Location | City, country, or remote |
| Publication date | When the company published it, when the source says |
| Discovery date | When we first saw it |
| Original posting link | The role on the company's own site |
| Apply link | Where the application starts |
There's no description text. Your app or agent opens the original posting when it needs requirements, which keeps you reading the current version.
Publication date and discovery date are separate on purpose. Some hiring systems don't supply a publication date, and some roles come back as reposts. In our study, 6% of "new" roles on one major applicant system had first been published more than 30 days earlier. Having both dates lets you tell fresh from recycled.
The MCP tools
The MCP server is read only. It never applies to jobs.
search_jobssearches titles and companies, newest first, with filters for place, excluded words, remote and how recently it was posted.get_jobrefreshes one role's details, dates, status and links.get_changesreturns new, updated, reopened and closed roles after a saved cursor, so a daily or hourly job only sees what changed.get_usageshows your current allowance. It's free to call.
The server works with Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex and any MCP client. For Claude Code it's one line:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user jobfeed https://findyourrolefirst.click/mcp
Then run /mcp and authenticate. Codex is codex mcp add jobfeed --url https://findyourrolefirst.click/mcp followed by codex mcp login jobfeed. Every client's steps are on Connect. There's also an HTTP API that takes the same key, for code that isn't an agent. The API docs cover both, plus the OpenAPI schema.

How it compares
Here's how other job data APIs price and refresh, from each vendor's own pages as of October 2026.
| Product | Price | Freshness stated | MCP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Find your role first | $9 a month for 3,000 roles | 16 minutes median, measured | Yes |
| JobsPipe | Seeker $19.60 | "within 1 hour" only on $348 and $525 plans | Yes |
| TheirStack | $49 for 1,500 credits | Not the focus; built for sales data | Yes, same credits |
| Coresignal | from $49 for 2,500 credits | Not stated | Yes |
| Visualping | $14 a month for 10 pages | Every 15 minutes, on pages you choose | Yes |
Visualping watches pages you pick. It isn't a job database. TheirStack and Coresignal are sales and company data products that happen to include jobs. If you're building something for job seekers, a feed built for job search fits better, and at $9 it's the cheapest paid option with agent access.
We read 15,000+ company career sites, including Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workday boards plus Amazon, Apple, Google, Meta, Microsoft and Netflix, every hour or two. The measured timing is in the job freshness study: 79% of roles within 1 hour and 95% within 3 hours, where the company publishes an exact time.
What people build with it
- A daily digest that calls
get_changesand emails only new roles in one field. - A Claude Code or Codex task that searches, opens each posting, and drafts a shortlist with reasons.
- A small internal tool that tracks which target companies opened or closed roles this week.
If you only want to browse, the public new jobs page and company pages are free with no sign-in. There's more on agent setups in the job search MCP server guide.
