116,239 new roles posted as hiring rises 1% this week

Companies posted 116,239 new roles in the 7 days to October 11, 2026. This came from 7,389 companies. Hiring from companies tracked both this week and last rose 1%, with 19,478 roles compared to 19,301.

Amazon led hiring volume with 2,709 new roles, followed by Accenture with 1,737 and EY with 1,609. RTX posted 961 roles. Google's roles decreased to 960 from 3,252 the previous week.

Speechify saw a significant increase, posting 488 roles compared to 2 last week. Ouihelp added 321 roles, up from 163. Genius Sports Statistician Network also expanded, posting 70 roles from 8.

Engineering was the top team for new roles with 16,635, including 619 at Amazon. Data and AI followed with 12,612 roles, with Accenture contributing 457. Finance, legal and people teams posted 6,505 roles, led by EY with 459.

Example roles included Senior Applied AI, Partner Solutions Architect at Amazon and Data Scientist Semi Senior at Accenture. The numbers suggest continued demand in tech and consulting, with some companies seeing rapid expansion. Job hunters might focus on these areas next week.
